Where It All Began: The Story Behind Sweet Willow Beauty
Welcome to the very first post on the Sweet Willow Beauty blog. I'm so glad you're here.
Some things don't begin with a business plan. They begin with a whisper, a quiet nudge on your heart that says this is what you were made for. That's exactly how Sweet Willow Beauty was born.
After 25 years in the beauty industry, I've had the privilege of watching women leave a treatment room standing a little taller, breathing a little deeper, feeling seen and cared for. That never gets old. And after two and a half decades of building businesses, expanding into waxing and hair removal, and learning every corner of this industry, I found myself being called back to where it all started: the softer side of beauty. Skincare. Facials. The art of genuine, hands-on connection.
This isn't about creating another job for myself. This is a passion project that landed on my heart, and I am answering the call.
Named for Someone Who Changed Everything
Sweet Willow Beauty is named after my granddaughter, Evelyn Willow, and if you know her, you understand completely.
There are moments in life when the darkness feels heavy and the path forward isn't clear. Evelyn Willow walked into my life during one of those seasons, and her sweet little soul brought light I didn't know I was missing. She reminded me what pure, uncomplicated love feels like. It seemed only right to carry her name into this new chapter, a chapter rooted in tenderness, healing, and joy.
Every service I offer, every product I create, every client I welcome through my door carries a little piece of her spirit. And I don't take that lightly.
A Studio Rooted in the Magic of the Rogue Valley
Southern Oregon has a way of changing you. The Rogue Valley, with its rolling hills, clean air, towering pines, and the river that winds through it all, has healed my mind, body, and spirit in ways I still struggle to put into words. Whether you're in Medford, Ashland, Jacksonville, Talent, Phoenix, Central Point, Grants Pass, or the surrounding communities, you know exactly what I mean. There is something sacred about this land.
Sweet Willow Beauty is a home-based skincare and waxing studio nestled in the heart of Southern Oregon, created specifically to serve this community. I am not a franchise. I am not a chain. I am your neighbor, a woman who has poured her life into this craft and is now bringing it home, in every sense of the word.
My services are intimate by design. This is a space where you can exhale. Where you're not rushed, not upsold, not treated like a number. You are welcomed, cared for, and pampered the way you deserve.
Skincare Services and Waxing, Reimagined
At Sweet Willow Beauty, I offer personalized facial treatments and professional waxing and hair removal services, all in a calm, nurturing environment. My approach draws on decades of hands-on experience, but it's guided just as much by heart as it is by skill.
I believe that taking care of your skin is an act of self-love. And I believe that every person who sits across from me deserves to be treated with intention, warmth, and expertise.
If you've been looking for an esthetician in the Rogue Valley, someone in Medford, Ashland, Jacksonville, or the surrounding Southern Oregon area, who truly listens and truly cares, I'd love to be that person for you.
Something Beautiful Is Coming: The Sweet Willow Beauty Skincare Line
Here's where things get really exciting.
In addition to studio services, I am currently developing the Sweet Willow Beauty skincare line, and it is a labor of love in the truest sense. Samples have gone out. Bottles and packaging are being designed. And the first collection is centered around something I am deeply passionate about: facial oils.
This initial line will feature a beautiful selection of facial oils crafted to nourish, restore, and illuminate. Beyond that, plans are already in motion for body and skincare products that reflect the same philosophy as everything else I do: clean, intentional, and made with love.
I can't wait to share more with you as this line comes to life. If you want to be among the first to know when products are available, make sure you're following along here and on social media.
Faith, Gratitude, and a Full Circle Moment
I want to be honest with you about something: this business is built on gratitude. I am a woman of faith, and I do not take lightly the blessings that have brought me to this moment. The hard seasons, the growth, the healing, the relationships, and the opportunity to start something new that is purely rooted in love.
God has been faithful. The Rogue Valley has been healing. My family has been my anchor. And now, I get to show up for you.
Sweet Willow Beauty is more than a skincare studio. It is more than a product line. It is an invitation to slow down, to be cared for, and to remember that you are worth it.
I cannot wait to meet you.
With love,
Tawnya Fornerod

Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to try, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time you take action despite self-doubt, you reinforce the belief that you’re capable. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.
The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting with what you have, where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real.
You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
